The main goal of the Parents Organization is to raise funds through voluntarism to support our long term goals which benefit our extra curricular programs and physical improvements for the school that tuition does not cover. These goals are set yearly by the Parent Teacher Organization with guidance from the PTO Executive Board. When you enroll your child at St. Michael Indian School, you are also enrolling yourself with an influential group of people known as the PTO. Each and every parent is part of the organization and you choose how much you become involved. Throughout the year there are many activities to participate in. The PTO meets every second Thursday of the month at 6:00 p.m. in the cafeteria. 2010 Updates: Currently the PTO is working on summer projects such as Classroom Improvements and Textbook purchasing, planning the 2011 Student Art Calendar and preparing for Back to School activites. This summer $6,000 in new textbooks will be ordered through fund raising efforts this past school year. Send an email to smis.pto@gmail.com to subscribe to PTO updates. |
